Cassius Liev at the Adventist

On the day we celebrated Cassius’s 4 week birthday he was admitted into the Adventist and into what has been a very scary phase of his life with IV antibiotics and tests expecting bacterial meningitis to be present.

Thankfully after a couple of days and a final spinal tap we found that his condition is the enterovirus that has meant the Department of Health here in Hong Kong has had to be involved and we have been in isolation.

Now, four days later we are sat at the hospital waiting for the DofH to give us the final all clear on Cassius and then we will be able to go home and Lola can stop asking us where her brother has gone.

Luckily we are left with a healthy baby and have Dr Thondop and the team on the 6th floor to thank – but now comes the test to see how much of the HK$ 46,000 bill will be covered by my crappy AXA work insurance.
