Damn you Ilford!!
Last night I developed a couple of 120’s of HP5 and followed the same recipe and protocol as I did for Tri-X 400 and Acros Neopan 100 – so that is 7 mins in HC-110 dilution B at 20 degrees.
Look at the last few posts before this one and you will see that 7 mins works well on both the Kodak and Fuji film.
The three films should all take the same time in developer if rated on the camera as the film should be and if you don’t want to pull or push the film.
HP5 seems to be a film that some people love and some hate and I never used to understand why – but now I do as every development I have done on this film sucks for many different reasons.
However in order to play to the cheap seats; this is the little man – Cassius – who makes up for the horrendous over development by just being super cute again.
