Contrast in Delta 3200 @ Lagoon

I mentioned in the last post about Ilford’s Delta 3200; that it works best (in my very limited tests to date) in high contrast situations and the following photo are from the restaurant Lagoon in Colombo.

The fresh fish in front of the open kitchen are top lit with very bright lighting, the restaurant that surrounds is dimly lit and the kitchen has more task lighting than general.

If the truth be told – this is the best sort of use I have found with Fuji 1600 too – where you have a very dark environment with either specific flash or very specific flood lighting.

The grain is still much larger than Fuji on the Delta 3200 – yet this environment for photography doesn’t matter too much.

These were all taken without a flash and set at ISO 1000 on the camera.
