Peter Blake Retrospective at the Space

During Art HK 11, the Cat Street Gallery had a show for 60 years of Peter Blake in the Space in Sheung Wan and included a group of 20 year old waifs from London to play old school rock –  and in a way this would have probably been enjoyed by Blake, as he was around in the 60’s taking photographs of the early guitar bands of the time and of course producing the cover to Sgt Pepper by the Beatles.

I can’t say I’m a big fan as his work hasn’t changed particularly into anything different for decades; and I’m not sure that I would agree with the title “the father of Brit art” – but the event was really great fun with a band that filled the space with noise and energy.

Not the best pictures of the band as the lighting is set up for pictures hanging on the wall and not a performance – but still I hoping that thy capture some of the night.
